Principal's Message

Welcome to Castle Heights Elementary School,

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as your principal. I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support the students, families, teachers and staff.

I have been dedicated to the education profession for twenty-seven years.  I have served both school and district level administrative roles for the largest portion of that time.  I look forward to utilizing my skills as an educational leader to partner with Castle Heights teachers and parents to provide our students a meaningful and challenging educational experience.

On a personal note, my husband, Scott and I are Wilson County natives.  Lebanon is my hometown and I am a product of both the Lebanon Special School District and Wilson County Schools.  My son, Elliott and his wife Erin also call Lebanon home.  We are proud to be a part of the Lebanon Special School District and its commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

I believe in the power of teamwork and the significance of a positive partnership between home and school.  I encourage you to stay connected with our school and district through the LSSD’s Parents & Families Resource Page and our school website. These platforms will provide you with important announcements, academic resources, and information about upcoming events.

I thank you in advance for your support of our school, teachers and staff.  I am anticipating a fantastic school year!

Sincerely,

Julie L. Benson, Principal
