Monday Sept. 19, 2011
I hope everyone had a great weekend. This week we will focus on the letters o and g. Next week we will be introducing the letters d and s. In math we will continue talking about the numbers 0-5 and adding comparing numbers 1-5. In the front of the agenda you will find popcorn words for the week, go and to. We will continue special friend.
Today we went to computer lab for a Successmaker sessions, I was very pleased with the number of students who could log in all on their own. Keep practicing at home. Thanks!!
Don’t forget the Think Green Think Clean event this Saturday from 9-11. Please come out and help us beautify our school grounds and the surrounding community. We would love to win the prize money for most participants.
Homework did not get out today, but will come home tomorrow. Thanks to all who are getting the homework done and turned in on Friday. A little practice each will help your child tremendously.
School begins at 7:50. If you arrive after this time you must bring your child in to the office and sign them in to get a late slip. After 3 times being late, I am required to alert the attendance officer.

WE NEED YOUR PAPER RECYCLING!!!!!
What can you recycle? All paper, newspaper, magazines, catalogs, phone books, junk mail, cereal boxes and other paperboard boxes. If you or you know someone who has an office that uses magazines for patients and discards them regularly, please collect them and bring them to our paper recycler. Where is the recycle bin? It is behind the cafeteria, turn into the front door entrance to school then take a left go around to the back. You will see the green bin for recycling. Every year we compete with the other schools to see who recycles the most paper. My former school Sam Houston has always won. This year we want to bring the trophy to Castle Heights.
